A workflow is a sequence of steps you can repeat. Start with a task you already do often, rather than connecting tools simply because you can.
Map the task before the tools
Write down what starts the task, what information you need, what happens next, and what a finished result looks like. Circle any step that requires a decision.
Example: notes to a lesson outline
- Collect: Bring together notes you are allowed to use.
- Organize: Ask AI to group related ideas and flag contradictions.
- Choose: Decide the learning goal and which ideas belong.
- Draft: Generate an outline using only the selected material.
- Review: Check accuracy, sequence, examples, and missing context.
Make the stopping point explicit
If information is missing or conflicting, have the workflow return a question. If the result will be shared, include a human review before publication.
Keep a simple scorecard
After a few runs, compare total time, corrections, and usefulness with your original process. A faster first draft is only helpful if the whole task becomes better.
